I'm registering this phrase.
It stems from two things:
The Climate Reality Project is an apt name for acknowledging climate change.
The Financial Reality Project is my name for acknowledging financial realities. You and I all know tons of people who won't acknowledge their own financial reality and subsequently make bad financial decisions.
I view part of my job as an advisor is to bravely state to clients when they are hiding from their financial realities. It's sometimes a painful task. I could lose a client if I say it wrong. But it beats the alternative of letting the client proceed down an unrealistic path.
